Integrative medicine combines evidence-based conventional medical practice with complementary approaches — including lifestyle medicine, nutrition, mind-body practices, Ayurveda-informed care, and other modalities. It is physician-led, root-cause oriented, and whole-person in its approach. At My Native Doctor®, it means looking at sleep, nutrition, movement, stress, environment, relationships, and the deeper patterns behind your symptoms — not just the most recent lab value.

No. We complement existing care, share findings, and coordinate when prescriptions or imaging are needed. We strongly recommend every patient maintain a primary care physician for routine, preventive, urgent, and ongoing medical needs.

We are board certified in Pediatrics and Neonatology and trained in Integrative Medicine. Our approach integrates conventional medical training with evidence-informed lifestyle and systems-based interventions. We combine the safety and rigor of conventional medicine with root-cause exploration.

Yes, when you approve. We share notes and coordinate with your primary care physician, gynecologist, psychiatrist, and other specialists as needed. We never make abrupt changes to medications or treatment plans without coordination with your existing providers.

Absolutely. We coordinate with your prescriber and never suggest abrupt medication changes without medical oversight. Many patients eventually taper certain medications as lifestyle and integrative interventions take effect — but this is always a carefully coordinated process.

Yes. My Native Doctor® is licensed in IL, MD, NC, and CA. For families elsewhere, we offer guidance your local physician can co-sign.

Yes. When we recommend labs or imaging studies, we suggest that you coordinate these with your primary doctor as your insurance may cover these costs.

Booking & Fees

No. The practice is cash-based. Payment is required at booking. We operate a fee-for-service practice. You receive a superbill to seek out-of-network reimbursement. Many patients use HSA or FSA funds. We do not accept Medicare or Medicaid.

Yes. Health Savings Account (HSA) and Flexible Spending Account (FSA) funds are accepted for eligible services.

All appointments are booked through the secure patient portal — Practice Better. Select your service, choose your preferred date and time, and complete the booking. A New Intake Assessment is required before your first clinical visit. Group Visits do not require an intake assessment.

A 60-minute evaluation exploring medical history, lifestyle, emotional patterns, and goals. A new patient intake form is required before your initial visit to maximize our time together. Please ensure all sections are accurately completed.

After booking, you will complete a digital intake form covering your health history, current symptoms, medications, supplements, and goals. You can also upload prior lab results, specialist notes, and imaging. The more context you provide before the visit, the more we can cover together during it.

You leave with a prioritized plan. Follow-up is typically recommended at 2–4 weeks. First follow-up visits are 45 minutes ($300). Subsequent follow-up visits are 30 minutes ($200). Some patients transition into the MND Reset Program for deeper, structured support over 4 months.

Yes. However, this is separate and does not constitute a doctor-patient relationship. In coaching sessions, we are your coach and you are our client. Coaching is not medical care or psychotherapy and does not create a doctor-patient relationship. We do not diagnose, treat, prescribe, provide psychotherapy, manage medications, or interpret tests for treatment decisions during coaching sessions. You should seek appropriate care from a licensed clinician for medical or mental health needs.

Yes, we see infants, children, and adults. We have in-person and virtual visits available for Illinois residents. Virtual visits are available for residents in California, Maryland, and North Carolina. Our virtual Health Coaching service is available for everyone, regardless of location.

The MND Reset Program is a 120-day reset that includes:
One new patient assessment and two 45-minute physician visits (virtual or in-person) to evaluate stress, sleep, hormones, gut–brain health, and create a personalized reset plan
Four 45-minute health coaching sessions focused on accountability, lifestyle change, stress reduction, and implementing your personalized care plan
Two guided mind–body sessions (such as breathwork, guided imagery, or relaxation training) to calm the nervous system and improve resilience
Eight infrared vibration therapy sessions to promote deep relaxation, improve circulation, reduce stress, and support recovery
The program runs 120 days and is recommended to be renewed every 4 months to continue progress, maintain results, and deepen healing.

No. Group visits provide education and community support, but do not replace individual care. Group Visits are not billed to insurance, as this is a cash-based practice.

Yes. Weight loss treatment, including the use of GLP-1 medication when clinically appropriate, is available for patients in Illinois, Maryland, California, and North Carolina.

We provide somatic and mindfulness coaching. For deeper psychotherapeutic work, we refer to trusted psychiatrists, psychologists, or counselors and collaborate on an aligned plan.

Many patients notice early improvements — better sleep, lighter bloating — within two to four weeks. Complex conditions may take longer. We keep expectations clear and adjust the plan as you progress.

Ear Acupuncture (Auricular Therapy) uses gentle stimulation of specific points on the outer ear to support nervous system regulation and symptom relief — commonly for stress, anxiety, sleep support, pain modulation, headaches including migraines, cravings, and overall calming. It is an adjunct to medical and lifestyle care (not a replacement for urgent or specialty treatment) and is individualized, trauma-informed, and often paired with breathwork, mindfulness, and integrative care planning.

Yes. Virtual physician visits and health coaching sessions are available for patients located in Illinois, California, Maryland, and North Carolina. In-person visits are available in Chicago, IL. Virtual Health Coaching is available for everyone, regardless of location.

Physician visits (integrative medicine consultation, women's health, pediatrics, follow-ups), health coaching, and Ayurveda-informed sessions are available virtually. Infrared Bed and Vibration Therapy and Group Visits are in-person only at the Chicago office.

A stable internet connection, a device with a camera and microphone, a private and quiet space, and your completed intake form. Having your medication list, supplement list, and any recent labs available during the visit helps us make the most of the time together.
Hormones & Supplements

Yes, when they match your goals and risk profile. We also provide evidence-based non-hormonal strategies for those who prefer or require them. Every recommendation is reviewed against your full health history, medications, and labs.

No. We complement conventional care, sharing notes with your doctor when you approve. We do not provide obstetric care, routine gynecological procedures, or emergency gynecological services.

Some herbs may. We cross-reference every herb or supplement with your full prescription and supplement list before adding anything to your plan. Nothing is recommended without reviewing your complete medication profile.

No. Formulas target balance, not extremes. We start low and titrate based on your feedback.

Cycle improvements often appear by the second month. Perimenopause symptoms usually ease within eight to twelve weeks of consistent care. Early improvements in sleep, energy, and digestion are often noticed within two to four weeks.

No. When bacterial infections require it, we use standard treatments. Herbs and nutrients support recovery and gut balance as adjuncts, not replacements, for conventional antimicrobial care.

We do not administer childhood vaccines as we are not your primary pediatrician. We recommend that you discuss vaccination with your primary pediatrician.

Most supplements blend invisibly into yogurt or smoothies. We give practical and creative ideas at each visit to make implementation realistic for your family.

Improvements in eczema, sleep, and energy often appear within two to four weeks. Focus and gut improvements are usually seen by the second follow-up visit.

Yes. We collaborate with endocrinologists, gastroenterologists, and mental health specialists when deep testing or therapy will accelerate results. Our goal is a coordinated, whole-child approach.
Energy & Mind-Body

Bio-energy work honors all belief systems and requires none. Sessions focus on measurable physiology and personal intention. You do not need to hold any particular belief for these sessions to be beneficial.

Most clients notice warmth, tingling, or a wave-like sense of relaxation. Some fall asleep — that is perfectly fine. Your nervous system continues to respond even when you are resting deeply.

Yes. Energy and mind-body work complements talk therapy and may reduce the burden of stress-related side effects. It never replaces professional psychiatric care.

Acute stress often shifts within 3 sessions. Chronic patterns may take longer. We assess progress together and adjust the plan based on your response.

Cancellation Policy

Summary: Reschedule more than 24 hours before → no charge. Less than 24 hours → $150 non-refundable fee. Same-day or no-show → full visit fee. A credit card is kept on file for all bookings.

To protect physician time and ensure fairness to all patients, we require that you reschedule your visit up to 24 hours before your appointment.
A $150 non-refundable fee applies to cancellations made less than 24 hours before your appointment.
The full fee for service applies to late cancellations or no-shows on the day of your appointment. We keep your card on file to reserve time.

Reserved appointment time cannot be offered to another patient without adequate notice. This policy respects the time of both our team and other patients who need care.
